A custom watch for Hayley Holt

Spotted on TV One Sport wearing her mechanical watch we designed, fitted with a woven mesh metal Milanese bracelet.

A good fit for the evening outfit.

This Provenance custom watch design was inspired by Japanese Modernism and the famous woodblock print The Great Wave by Hokusai. The inspiration came from when Hayley picked it from artwork hanging on her wall, after browsing different design eras.

We took aspects of the print and incorporated it into our design, from the foamy white waves to the blue water below.

We exposed the beautiful mechanical mechanism inside, with an open-back sapphire window.

Engraved on the sides, the name of great artwork which inspired the design.

Mid-morning meetups at cafes going through the different stages of design, enabled Hayley to see the idea of the watch, turn into sketches on paper, then physical prototypes to check the size & look & finally the completed watch.

A photo book was created to document the personal journey of the watch.

Carousel images show pages from the design book given along with the completed watch.
